How Often Should You Service Your Air Conditioner?

We recommend having your air conditioning system professionally serviced at least once every 12 months. Regular annual servicing helps:

• Maintain efficiency — a clean, well-maintained system uses less energy to heat or cool your home, helping keep running costs down.

• Prevent breakdowns — many common faults are caught early during a routine service, before they turn into costly repairs or leave you without cooling in the middle of summer.

We believe in upfront, transparent pricing with no hidden surprises:

• Wall-mounted split system service — from $199 + GST

• Ducted air conditioning service — from $220 + GST

• Additional indoor head (multi-head systems) — $75 + GST per extra head

Pricing may vary depending on system accessibility and the condition of your air conditioner. We'll always confirm the exact cost before any work begins, so you know exactly what to expect.

Chemical Cleaning — When Extra Care Is Needed

Some air conditioning systems, particularly units that haven't been serviced in a while or are exposed to heavy dust, cooking grease or coastal air, can build up grime that a standard service isn't enough to fully clear. In these cases, a chemical clean may be recommended to properly restore airflow, efficiency and indoor air quality.

Chemical cleaning is a separate service to a standard maintenance visit:

• Split system chemical clean (indoor unit only) — $250 + GST

• Ducted system chemical clean (indoor unit only) — $275 + GST

If our technician identifies that your unit needs a chemical clean during a standard service, we'll always advise you on the day and confirm the extra cost before proceeding — there are no surprise charges. Alternatively, if you know your system is particularly dirty or hasn't been cleaned in some time, you're welcome to book a chemical clean directly instead of a standard service.
